Volunteer Opportunities

The Shelter Home of Caldwell County has many ways you can help out. Below are descriptions of just some of the volunteer positions available right now:
Child Care – needed Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Supervise residents children while they attend our Domestic Violence Support Group.
Donations – scheduling for this position is very flexible. Sort, and fold clothing, and organize household items for effective browsing of residents and their children.
Receptionist – Greatly need volunteers for this position. This is a job for a special person. Become trained in how to answer our crisis calls.

Many more opportunities are available. Come share your talent with us. Teach an aerobics class, art or craft, host a board game night. And for those men out there wanting to volunteer – we need strong arms to move furniture, men to do landscaping and even maintenance work around the Shelter.
